Early Life and Inspirations
Born and brought up in Batala, Punjab—a city popular for having produced legends like Shiv Kumar Batalvi, Axonn grew up in a culture steeped in poetry, folk traditions, and music. In his hometown, his first exposure to music came during weddings and festivals like Lohri and Diwali. From a young age, he was captivated by the sounds of Panjabi MC, Bally Sagoo, Jazzy B, and Shinda, the pioneers of the UK Punjabi vibe. By the time he moved to Delhi for High school, Axonn’s world expanded further, he was introduced to hip-hop artists like 50 Cent and Akon, often staying up late with friends, discovering lyrics on Google, and tuning into radio shows. This mix of Punjabi folk, UK fusion, and global hip-hop shaped his early identity and planted the seeds for his lifelong journey into music.
Breakthroughs and Big Stages
While working a full-time job in Bengaluru after graduation, Axonn would head straight to the console every night, playing back-to-back club shows until closing hours. Within months, he became a familiar name across the city’s nightlife, the guy who could pack a room on any weekday. That momentum took him to bigger stages, from festivals like Sunburn with audiences touching 40,000, to club gigs across different parts of the world.
Career Begins in Music
While pursuing Mechanical Engineering In Manipal, where life was supposed to be about books, blueprints, and examinations, Axonn found House Music which was the turning point which marked the beginning of his career. With his newfound love for electronic music he soon found himself doing gigs at local clubs. music had chosen him. Soon, parties called him back, then clubs. And by the time his graduation neared its end, Axonn had already stepped quietly into another destiny.
Bengaluru, Mumbai & What’s Next
Choosing music as his full-time path, he moved to Mumbai — the city that celebrates ambition Between high-pressure events, non-stop travel, and endless nights, he found something unexpected: weddings. What began as a side gig became his first love. The long hours, the emotional shifts, the freedom to move between genres, and the opportunity of soundtracking once-in-a-lifetime moments — he realised this is where he belonged. Over the years, Axonn has been blessed to perform at more than 1,500+ wedding events, earning the reputation of being one of India’s most loved and energetic wedding DJs. From intimate family celebrations to high-profile weddings like Jeet Adani & Diva Shah, the Boda Group, 8bitThug,, Axonn has built a legacy rooted in Heart, Craft, and an instinct for reading people on the dance floor like he’s known them forever.
